Foxconn Profit Down As Scrutiny Forces Corporate Changes
Taiwanese electronics manufacturer Foxconn saw its profits fall to $509 million from $1.19 billion last quarter. Chairman Terry Gou said this quarter was particularly affected by Foxconn's recent image problem. Improvements in wages, worker benefits, and education accounted for some of the loss, although new iPad and iPhone 4S manufacturing bolstered income last quarter. Google Releases Full Report of FCC Investigation Into Street View Probe, Finds That Senior Staff Knew
Earlier today Google released the full report of the FCC's investigation into the collection of? "payload data" from open Wi-Fi networks -- aka passwords, email and search history from open networks -- that its fleet of Street View cars obtained between 2008 and April 2010. An earlier and heavily redacted version of the report was released on April 15 but today's version only redacted the names of individuals. Though the report found no violation of any wrong doing by the company, the FCC did fine Google $25,000 for obstructing the investigation, which was presumably the outcome of Google refusing to show the FCC what the data being collected entailed because it might have shown that the company broke privacy and wiretapping laws. Google says any obstruction was result of the FCC dragging out the investigation. Interestingly enough, the report did reveal that the data harvesting was not the act of a rogue engineer and that said engineer notified the Street View team of what was going on. (Wait. What? Yahoo?s Five Counter-Counterclaims Against Facebook. #1: Throw Out Retaliatory Patents
Today Yahoo hit Facebook with five big counter-counterclaims designed to invalidate the patents cited in the social network's infringement countersuit. If the court concurs, Facebook?could be left wide-open in settlement negotiations, and might have to pay Yahoo a hefty sum of cash and/or stock. Specifically, the old web portal?claims?that after it sued for patent infringement, Facebook bought patents?"for purposes of retaliation". ??Therefore they don't meet the U.S. Patent Office's "Duty of Disclosure, Candor, and Good Faith"?and should be thrown out of Facebook's countersuit against Yahoo. Yahoo also claims Facebook broke their agreement to inform each other of IP issues, couldn't legally know if Yahoo was violating its patents, and that several of Facebook's new patents were illegally filed. Finally, Yahoo filed two more advertising patent infringement claims against Facebook that look to be quite incriminating. Coldplay, Rihanna's Official 'Princess Of China' Video Due In May
Rihanna-starring clip currently making the rounds is actually taken from Coldplay's live show, spokesperson confirms.

By now, you've probably seen the video for Coldplay's "Princess of China." It stars Rihanna as a Shiva-esque deity who waves her (many) arms back and forth in time with the tune but strangely does not actually feature Coldplay themselves.
The clip began making the rounds earlier this week and was not only touted as the "official video" but earned raves from fans of both acts. There's only one problem: It is most definitely not the actual "Princess of China" vid.
In fact, it's part of , a video they play during their performance of the song (as several Coldplay aficionados have been pointing out on YouTube). Just to clear up any confusion, we reached out to a spokesperson for the band, who told us in no uncertain terms: "It isn't the official video. ... It is, in fact, a clip that the band are using during their performance of the song on tour."
So there you have it. Of course, this raises the question of just when the real "Princess of China" video will premiere. After all, going by photos RiRi previously tweeted, the clip was filmed back in March. So, once again, we went to Coldplay's rep, who told us that the "Princess" video is still a few weeks away from debuting.
"It won't be finished until the third week of May," the spokesperson said. "It's going to be a minute."

'Five-Year Engagement': The Reviews Are In!
Critics agree that talented cast of Jason Segel, Emily Blunt, Chris Pratt and Alison Brie brings honest script to life.

"The Five-Year Engagement," starring Jason Segel and Emily Blunt, doesn't adhere to the same predictable romantic-comedy formula audiences are used to seeing. It doesn't open with a comedic meet-cute, and there's no quirky first date: The film follows Violet Barnes (Blunt) and Tom Solomon (Segel) after they're already engaged.
When we meet the characters, their hurdle is how to survive a long engagement due to Violet's budding postdoctoral career.
While some critics believe the movie is a half-hour too long, most agree that the talented cast of comedians brings the honest, insightful script to life. While "Five-Year Engagement" may not be the "Bridesmaids" of 2012, the reviews suggest the film will be a weekend hit.
The Story
"The first 45 minutes or so of 'The Five-Year Engagement,' which Segel wrote with director Nicholas Stoller ('Get Him to the Greek'), pop and zing with both comic fizz and refreshing authenticity. USC develops printable liquid solar cells for flexible, low-cost panels
Solar cells are becoming more viable sources of energy -- and as they become more efficient, they're only getting smaller and cheaper to produce. Liquid nanocrystal cells are traditionally inefficient at converting sunlight into electricity, but by adding a synthetic ligand to help transmit currents, researchers at USC have improved their effectiveness. The advantage of these liquid solar cells? They're cheaper than single-crystal silicon wafer solutions, and they're also a shockingly minuscule four nanometers in size, meaning more than 250 billion could fit on the head of a pin. Moreover, they can be printed onto surfaces -- even plastic -- without melting. Ultimately, the goal of this research is to pave the way for ultra-flexible solar panels. However, the scientists are still experimenting with materials for constructing the nanocrystals, since the semiconductor cadmium selenide they've used thus far is too toxic for commercial use.

Walmart's website lets you Pay With Cash, strips away the 'convenience' of shopping online
Here's an idea: order products online, and then pay using regular 'ol dollar bills. Intrigued? That's exactly what Walmart has begun offering on its website today with its new Pay With Cash service. It's no different from initiating a normal web order, save for being another -- and potentially convoluted -- option to hand over your funds and checkout. After selecting PWC, you'll receive an order confirmation, which then allots you 48 hours to print it out and present it your local Wally World. From there, you can choose to pick up the item in store or have it shipped to your house -- in effect, stripping away some of the key conveniences of shopping online in the first place. Of course, one could likely just give their local store a call to place items on hold for a similar result, but hey, more options are always nice, right? At the very least, many without the likes of credit cards and Google Wallets might find some appreciation this method of retail purchasing. Hit up the links below for all the details.

Mitt Romney Raps to Eminem in Hilarious Mash-Up
Mitt Romney. Eminem. We never thought those two people would be used in the same THG headline, but one epic music video parody has united them at last.
This amazing mash-up of Mitt Romney quotes and Eminem's "The Real Slim Shady" takes dead aim at the presidential candidate's flip-flopping reputation.
President Barack Obama and Mitt's all-but-dispatched GOP rival, Newt Gingrich, also make cameos in "The Real Mitt Romney," which is a must-see ...
Oxford student Hugh Atkin created the video, combining the Republican candidate's soundbites and the hit song from the rapper's 2001 Marshall Mathers LP.
Obama begins the video in much the same way as Em begins his track: "May I have your attention please. Will the real Mitt Romney please stand up?"
