Information about "Breaking Dawn, parts 1 and 2," the two final films in the "Twilight" series, dribbles out in little bits. A photo gets released here, a teaser bit of video there.
Story: Secrets of 'Breaking Dawn': What do we know?I collected a bunch of that information, including some tips about Bella's much-anticipated wedding dress, in this story. (By the way, it's Bella's birthday! She's 24 ... er, I mean, forever 19.)
The full trailer will be released on Access Hollywood Tuesday night, but until then, let's talk about the poster. Check out that engagement ring!

Yes, we've seen it before. It was actually seen in "Eclipse" when Edward proposed, but this is the sharpest still photograph of it I've seen. (Not sure why it's on her right hand, but that certainly shows up better in the poster. Maybe she wears a simpler wedding band on the left.) In the books, the ring was supposedly Edward's mother's ring from the 1800s and was described as having gold that "made a glittering web around the diamonds."
Is that how it looks to you? I am thinking it looks more like a big piece of Honeycomb cereal that's met with a Bedazzler, or else a gangster's pinky ring from "The Sopranos."
Slideshow: ?Twilight? stars light up Hollywood (on this page)Fans are divided, too. Those at Twilighters.org have been talking about it since early 2010, when the ring was first spotted in a trailer for "Eclipse."
"Of all the rings in the world, they picked that one!" wrote one fan. Said another: "Ew, that is ugly! Not what I imagined at all....I don't know, maybe I should read that part again? I don't really care that at that point in the movie, we'll all be swooning over Edward, I still want the ring to be fabulous!"
But the new poster has sparked some more discussion. "Should the set designers have tried a little harder?" asks Cindy Kroiss at Gather.com.
"I think this is a perfectly lovely ring ... that doesn't quite live up to the ethereal, luminous, museum-quality work of art I'd been imagining all this time," writes Jacqueline Burt at Cafe Mom.
If you do love the ring, you can buy it for $40, although the version doesn't look that much like the one in the poster to me.
Anyway, the "Breaking Dawn" countdown continues: 48 days till the movie hits theaters on Nov. 18. MSN reports that tickets go on sale Oct. 1.
